Buddhica
Here all kind of Buddhist paraphernalia. When uploading this page I realize that the qulality of pictures is really bad ... if in doubt please request a better picture from me! Sorry!
IncenseThe Tibetan incense I offer is traditionally made from mountain herbs, wood and bark and roots. There is no chemical additives and they don't have the sweet, parfumed smell of Indian and Nepali Tibetan incense, but more like good japanese incense. I can also offer raw herbs collected by nomads in the mountains that are very good for house cleansing and purification. Tibetans offer it every day to pacify and make happy local gods and earth spirits and in the same time to dispel evil spirits. |
||
Incense cones: these incense cones from a private traditional incense producing family in Nyemo smell phantastic, it is the only ready made incesnse I use. They have strong herbal smell, not the sweet, parfumed smell of Indian and Nepali Tibetan incense, but more like good japanese incense. Wth this cones we also support this traditional handicraft in Tibet, which with the growing tourist industry, mass production and industrialization gets more and more extinct. The come in a simple plastic bag like on the picture since the producing family does not have the means for fency packing and commercialization. 5,00 (for greater quantities the shipping gets relatively less expensive and I can give a discount) |

Incense herbs Shugpa (Juniper). Nomads and farmers use the bigger lower branches for firewood, for the incense they take the needles. Small plastic bag with 25 g. 2,00 |

Prayerflags |
||
Prayerflags The prayerflags I offer are handprinted from hand carved wooden print blocks, on a thin cotton cloth like it was done traditionally. This is NOT the ones from Nepal or India, machine printed on plastic cloth!!! These prayerflags can also be offered on strings of 10 or 15 flags or more (but I have to order that, that will take some days). String of 5 flags: 3,00

MalasThis is all malas from materials traditionally used in Tibet, mainly seeds from holy trees and bone. Bone is a phantastic material, cool on the skin but not too cool, heavy in the hand but not too heavy. The use of bone helps the Buddhist pratitioner to envision the impermanence of life. I don't sell ivory (because poor elephants are killed for it). |

Buddhist scriptures: I can buy you a traditional woodblock printed prayertext for decoration/ veneration and blessing. I CAN'T get you a special one (because the probability that they don't have it is too big). For this text I can get a traditional cloth wrapping, yellow, with a red ornamental patch and a side brokade slip where traditionally the name of the text is written. |
here a single page. If you want a whole book I will get one for you. Full book 10,00 with cloth wrapping 15,00 |
this is a wood block print block for the printing of those traditional Tibetan books |
Single leaf of scripture: I have some traditional Tibetan books (dpe cha) which are not complete (I say that to make clear that I don't destroy Buddhist scriptures). From those I can take out one or two pages. They look beautiful framed behind glass. |

Counters for malas. Malas are like the rosary a tool for counting. These counters help to count hundreds, thousands, tenthousands, hundredthousands etc. For the fine tuning the beads on the counters can be moved, for the higher numbers the position of the counter in the prayerbeads can be moved. Nice heavy bronze counters made to look old. 15,00 |
